“This is NOT a club!”
That’s what you will find everyone saying about the Delhi Biker Breakfast Run, it is actually not a club, it’s an open to all group of bikers who meet on Saturday mornings and ride together; the working class keeping their passion for biking alive.
Saturday morning, a perfect time to fit into the busy schedule of these bikers. Any other day they would be sleeping this time, reviving of the hectic week they have had, but on the ride days they go out and ride; this way they can keep their weekend with them as well.
The only eligibility you have to fulfill in order to ride with the group is to own a two wheeler, may it be a Harley Davidson or a Luna it doesn’t matter. The numbers of the riders coming in these rides cum social gathering has been increasing since the event was started by the organizer Joshua John. The rides usually are to nearby places as the group is not only for professional bikers but for everyone and the real numbers are of those new bikers who are venturing out of Delhi for the first time; so the destination is decided keeping them in mind.
What do you have to do in order to be in a ride?
Well there is no criteria you have to fulfill, all you have to do is to be at the place from where the ride will start and that’s it you are a part of it.
The people you find riding along with are really friendly; many first timers who are hesitant going on such rides thinking the rough image of a bike gang they have in their minds, who will bully them and make fun of their bikes its totally not like that. Once you ride with them and you will want to ride with them every time they ride.
Alcohol, Narcotics and other unsocial behavior is prohibited.
This is what happens:
- They meet at a designated spot in Delhi by 5:30-6:00am
- They ride together for 2-3 hours out of Delhi
- At a dhaba/restaurant/resort they eat hot breakfast
- Relax and enjoy the diverse group & swap life stories
In order to know about the coming rides and get in touch with the DBBR group you can join their facebook group.
And remember they ride they don’t race.
